# Roadmap: drift detection

## Direction

Future drift work may compare infrastructure with the latest state without
changing resources or promoting a new state version. Remediation would still
use a normal plan, policy, approval, and apply run.

No schedule format, notification behavior, release date, or service commitment
is part of the current product contract.
